a quick guide for those new to crypto

how to buy

[ on desktop ]
[ on phones ]
[ on tablet ]
1

Get a wallet

You will need a crypto wallet to make a purchase on NFSeeds.

There are 2 general types of wallets: decentralized and centralized—that is to say, self-custody and not self-custody. We highly recommend that you ONLY use wallets that are self-custody (decentralized), as that is the only way to ensure your tokens are always under your control.

If you don't already have a wallet, we recommend MetaMask for your phone or computer, but you can also use Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, or any wallet compatible with WalletConnect.

2

Purchase USDC & ETH

Please note: ALL of our transactions take place on the Ethereum network. Tokens from other networks will not work. You must have USDC in your wallet to make a purchase on NFSeeds, as well as a small amount of ETH to cover gas/network fees.

Start by purchasing USDC on the Ethereum network from an exchange, like Coinbase or Crypto.com.

Next, purchase a small amount of Ethereum (ETH) to cover gas/network fees. A minimum of $20 USD in ETH should be enough to cover your purchase.

Once purchased, send your USDC and ETH to the decentralized wallet that you downloaded and set up in Step 1.

This will require two separate transactions: one transaction sending USDC from the exchange to your wallet and one transaction sending ETH from the exchange to your wallet.

Warning
Make sure that you are sending your tokens to an Ethereum address. If the wallet you are sending your tokens to does not begin in "0x…" (example: 0x5Be4F53714CD383Ae2553ee02281b58a54aE3876) then your tokens WILL be lost.

Buy on NFSeeds

By this point, your USDC and ETH are now held in your decentralized wallet that you set up in Step 1 and transferred in Step 2.

The rest of the experience is much like shopping on any e-commerce site, except for the end. Once you've gotten to the Checkout page, connect your wallet to NFSeeds using the ‘Connect Wallet’ button at the top right corner of the checkout page and select the wallet provider you are using.

Sign the permission that pops up from your wallet that says “See address, account balance, activity and suggest transactions to approve” by clicking Sign/Connect in your wallet.

Fill out our form with your email (for shipping updates), name, and shipping address and be sure to accept our Terms of Service at the bottom of the page.

Once you've clicked the Place Order button, confirm the transaction in your wallet by pressing “Approve” on the transaction.

Once your transaction is complete, you will receive an email receipt and a web-based receipt. But that's not all…

view your nft

After your transaction is completed, you will automatically be airdropped an NFT. The NFT you receive acts as digital receipt that holds no monetary value.

We are the first to use NFTs in this way. Rather than a tradable asset and/or store of value, we use them as a way to see a customer's purchase history, conduct giveaways, verify purchases for reviews, loyalty programs, and for presently unannounced future uses in our ecosystem.

To view your NFT, connect your wallet to OpenSea or, if your wallet supports it, view it in your wallet.

important note

Mobile is not as optimal as desktop for using dApps currently. For this reason, we recommend that ALL purchases you make on NFSeeds be done via in-app browsers in your respective wallet.

The wallets we recommend highest are MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet.

On iOS, MetaMask tends to freeze upon placing orders, so we recommend Coinbase Wallet.

On Android, both MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet work equally well.
